Consultant Psychiatrist – Child & Adolescent Mental HealthDr. Hamood Alkiyumi is a Consultant Psychiatrist with subspecialty training in Child &Adolescent Psychiatry. He completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the College ofMedicine in 2014, Specialist Training in Psychiatry at the Oman Medical Specialty Board in2020, and a Clinical Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in the United Kingdom in2025. This extensive training has equipped him with advanced expertise in youth mentalhealth and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Dr. Alkiyumi has built his career across both national and international institutions,combining strong regional knowledge with global best practices. He has deliveredspecialized care for children and adolescents with complex mental health needs,supported family-focused interventions and community-based mental health services,and contributed to advancing the quality of psychiatric training and clinical practice in theregion.

Alongside his clinical expertise, Dr. Alkiyumi has pursued continuous professionaldevelopment in evidence-based psychiatry and healthcare leadership, reflecting hiscommitment to both patient care and medical education.
